"Diamonds", primeiro single do novo álbum de Rihanna, foi divulgado nesta quarta-feira (26) e já é um dos assuntos mais comentados no Twitter, aparecendo em menos de meia hora no Trending Topic mundial.

Produzida por Benny Blanco, a música está disponível para download no iTunes e faz parte do sétimo disco da carreira da cantora.

“Eu sinto uma grande emoção quando escuto o novo álbum. As letras são positivas e cheias de esperança, mas são sobre amor e as engrenagens são um pouco diferente do que as pessoas esperam. Eu estou animada para surpreendê-los sonoramente", contou Rihanna em uma entrevista ao radialista Elvis Duran.

"Diamonds" é também o título de sua turnê mundial, que começa em 8 de março de 2013, em Buffalo, nos Estados Unidos.

No seu site, a letra R está escrita com palavras e frases como “O que é o amor sem uma tragédia?”. A montagem está na capa do single (veja acima), divulgada pela cantora em seu perfil no Twitter.

Ainda não está confirmado se o novo disco sairá em novembro, mas, se isso acontecer, será o quarto lançado por Rihanna no mês. Em novembro de 2009, ela lançou ”Rated R”, um ano depois, ela deu aos fãs “Loud “ e, em seguida, em 2011, ela lançou “Talk That Talk”.
